Dr. Robinette leaves Escanaba Veterinary Clinic to Advance Her Education

Dear Clients of Escanaba Veterinary Clinic,

The Escanaba Veterinary Clinic has been a wonderful place to work.  I am very proud of EVC and the medicine they provide to their clients.  I feel that the community is very lucky to have a small animal hospital that is as progressive as EVC is.  They truly strive to offer the best medicine around and work with the referral hospitals to help present their clients with the medicine they cannot offer.

Regretfully, I am writing this letter to inform my clientele I have made the choice to resign my position at the Escanaba Veterinary Clinic.  After much contemplation, I have decided to advance my education by gaining further clinical experience through post-graduate training.  I am enrolled in a veterinary internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists.  For those of you that have been to Fox Valley Animal Referral Center, this is the same type of referral hospital.  Michigan Veterinary Specialists was developed in 1990 to help provide the best veterinary care to their clients and has continued to grow over the past 19 years.  They now have 3 locations and offer 24/7 emergency care as well as Ophthalmology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Cardiology, Oncology, Radiology and Neurology.

I will be working for them over the next year as an emergency doctor and also rotating through all the specialties shadowing the board-certified specialists.  Throughout the year I am hoping to decide if going on for a residency in one of the specialties is the right decision for me or being a general practitioner is truly where I belong.  This has been a question that I have been pondering for the last 5 years.  I finally have enough courage to take the next step and find out if I should do this or not.

I would like to take the time to thank my wonderful and loyal clientele for their support and respect over the last 4 years.  Each of you has taught me so much about the medicine that I practice and I appreciate all the knowledge that I carry with me.  I have taken immense joy in getting to know you and I will greatly miss you and your furry friends.
